Tickets for the 2025 Glynn County Sports Hall of Fame Induction Banquet will go on sale starting this Friday.
The dinner banquet and ceremony is set to take place Friday night, Aug. 1, at the Jekyll Island Convention Center.
Tickets to this year’s Induction Banquet will be sold online through the Glynn County Sports Hall of Fame website, www.gcshof.com. Tickets are $60 for the buffet-style dinner and induction ceremony.
Ticket sales will continue through Wednesday night, July 23. The Hall of Fame is required to provide a head count to the convention center by Friday, July 25, for food-ordering purposes, thus attendance numbers must be finalized a week prior to the banquet date.
Tickets will not be sold after the cutoff for online sales. No tickets will be sold at the door the night of the banquet.
The dinner banquet will begin at 6:30 p.m.. A social hour will be held at 5:30 p.m. with a cash bar available.
The 2025 Induction Class features Antwan Andrews, a record-setting running back at Glynn Academy; Katie Burnett, a former state champion golfer from Brunswick High who went on to play on the LPGA Tour; Willie Fisher, a star basketball player at Glynn Academy who would excel in the college ranks as well; Bob Parsons, a key member of Glynn Academy’s 1973 state championship baseball team who would also star in college and later play in the Pittsburgh Pirates organization; Johnny Tullos, one of the premier players for Glynn Academy’s legendary 1964 state championship football team who also played at Georgia Tech; and Adam Wainwright, standout Glynn Academy pitcher who became one of the best-ever to pitch for the St. Louis Cardinals in the major leagues.
“This promises to be another great night for athletics in Glynn County and our community,” said Kevin Price, president of the local sports hall of fame. “We hope our community will join the Hall of Fame and our sponsors on Jekyll as we celebrate the accomplishments of another deserving group of inductees and just come enjoy the overall occasion as we remember great moments in the careers of our inductees and also the history of athletics here in Glynn County.”
The Hall of Fame is a non-profit organization that formed in 2011.
The Hall of Fame has partnered with a reputable third-party service, Eventbrite, to provide a secured online option for ticket purchases. A small transaction fee will be added to the ticket price, but the process is made to be quick and easy for everyone wishing to purchase a ticket to the induction banquet.
When making an online purchase, you will receive an email confirming your ticket order. The Hall of Fame will have a list of ticket-buyers at the check-in table the night of the banquet.
