The Glynn County Sports Hall of Fame is proud to partner with XL Golf Carts to provide an attractive prize for the participating players in the 2019 Hall of Fame Golf Classic.
XL Golf Carts, which is located on St. Simons Island, is putting up a street-ready and fully-loaded golf cart for any amateur player who can ace the par-3 12th hole during this Sunday’s tournament at the Sea Island Golf Club’s Retreat Course.
The hole will play at least 170 yards, and all players competing in the tournament will hit their tee shot from the same tee marker on this hole. Professional players are not eligible for the prize.
There will be closest-to-the-pin prize as well on this hole and the other par-3 holes on the course in addition to two long drive competitions on the par-5 first and 10th holes on the St. Simons Island course which was designed by Glynn County Sports Hall of Fame inductee Davis Love III.
Sunday’s tournament is scheduled for a 1:30 p.m. shotgun start. There will be lots of great prizes for the winning teams including free golf for four at several area courses including Sea Island, Frederica Golf Club and TPC Sawgrass and numerous other prizes that can be won through a raffle drawing using mulligan tickets purchased by the players.

The local sports hall appreciates the support of all those who have made a financial or in-kind donation to the tournament. All proceeds raised through the four-man scramble will go to the Hall of Fame which will induct a new class in early 2020.
